Print Design: The Client is King
As with any freelance job, an in-depth understanding of what your client's needs are is vital. Beyond the work order - what is specifically required of you - you should understand the client's image. If it's not entirely evident when you meet your client, use good judgment and creativity.
For example, say a client deals in small pet grooming. You may choose to use a logo with a smaller font to echo the smallness of the pets being served. However, it's important to have the good judgment not to go overboard with that small font which can so easily lose its prominence in a print design.
